Mr. Bennet was wrongfully accused of killing Mr. Adams because he wasn’t even near Mr. Adams before he died, Mr. Bennet also clearly states that when he was leaning down to check for a pulse on Mr. Adams he had the coffee rat poison on his fingers when the only one that could have had this poison was Mr. Alfaro. Alfaro is an exterminator and the poison he used in Mr. Adams’s coffee. This is a valuable piece of evidence that will prove Mr. Alfaro is guilty, because the other witnesses aren’t exterminators. They wouldn’t have access to the poison that was used to murder Mr. Adams. Had Mr. Bennet committed this crime, there would have been rat poisoning in the house. Bennet was the cold-blooded murderer who killed Mr. Adams. They might think this because he was in debt to Mr. Adams, but as Mr. Bennet stated in the case, he wasn’t going out to murder Mr. Adams. Other members of the jury could also think of the tension going on between Mr. Bennet and Mr. Adams because of the yelling going on a few hours before the murder.
