First up to face the dragons was real estate entrepreneur Tom Harrington with his online estate agent business proposal, WeSell.co.uk, that had been launched on the 20th of January 2013 with the aim of the fastest growing online estate agent with an investment within 12 months. He had shown his creative side and desire for new innovation that impressed the dragons, but because Tom’s business only providing one out of every three customers with a happy outcome, it just didn’t cut it. Tom Harrington is seen to possess a transactional leadership style as he is based on a give – and – take transaction where he focused on a social exchange between successful, wealthy leaders and followers, in where he negotiated on an investment of 75 000 pounds and a 20% stake in his business. It has the image of being either old fashioned or highly luxurious. They have also managed to spread their product through restaurants, spas and cafes, which opens an opportunity for success. Their determination is proved when they had been asked if they would relocate for the purpose of their business, they had agreed. Their mission is that everyone, young and old, can enjoy their tea. To educated people that they are able to enjoy the loose leaf tea as much as they can normal tea bags. This indicates that they are creative thinkers, risk takers as well as passionate visionaries and considering they’re customer base. Both the entrepreneurs had the vision, the desire to achieve, as well as the knowledge but greatly required expertise to develop the business. More so, they both functioned as a team, giving in their ideas and communicating well with the other parties.
