The Magazine at Colonial Williamsburg holds the gunpowder, weapons, and army uniforms. The importance of this is that they many wars back then. If there were to be no Magazine, Americans would not have a safe place to store their weapons, meaning the British Marines could come around any time, take the weapons, and leave. That would leave the Patriots with no weapons, and no way to win the war or gain
On December 24, 1968, a 10-year-old girl named Pamela Powers went missing in Des Moines, Iowa. Henry Williams, who had recently escaped a mental hospital, was seen carrying a “large bundle wrapped in a blanket” into his car. Without anyone being able to see what was in the bundle he drove 160 miles east of Des Moines where he abandoned his car. Henry Williams called a lawyer named Henry McKnight, who then informed officers that Williams was going to turn himself in. From the Des Moines Police station McKnight called Williams to inform him that two Des Moines Police officers will be driving to his location to pick him up.

On Friday, October 2nd, I visited the Wittliff art collection at Texas State University. I was very excited at how much art I was going to see as I made my way to the 7th floor of the Alkek Library, which is where the Wittliff art collection is located in. Sadly, with all of the artwork that was displayed, I was having trouble deciding on which art pieces to write this critique on. However, two certain 2-D pieces caught my eye. Out of all of the displays in the art collection, I ended up choosing Keith Carter’s photograph and Kate Breakey’s painted photograph.
The Confederate army in Murfreesboro was commanded by Gen. Braxton Bragg. Bragg had just returned from invading Kentucky before he arrived in Murfreesboro. In Kentucky, he had commanded the Army of Mississippi, and then he was joined my Maj. Gen. Kirby Smith’s army. This new combined army of around 38,000 was renamed the Army of Tennessee. Just like the Union General Buell, Bragg was cautious about engaging the Union troops and decided passivity was wise.

In 1714 the General Assembly asked Governor Alexander Spotswood to build, quote on, quote, “a good, substantial, house of brick” precisely to protect the colony’s arms and munitions. Spotswood was authorized to spend £200 from taxes collected on the import of liquor and slaves. When the so called Magazine was built, it stored all of the colony of Williamsburg’s arms and munitions. So, in 1715, the Magazine was vexatious. This building is certainly worthy of a commemorative coin.

Holmes was America’s first documented serial killer who was activated during the Gilded Age. However, not many people know much about H. H. Holmes and how he changed America’s Culture of the Gilded Age. Holmes embodied the dark side of the late 1980s in America, which most Americans wanted to hide. When told about the I-search assignment, Holmes’ legacy and impact he had on America’s culture were one of the first ideas I had.

In a perfect world, there would be no fights, arguments or disagreements that result in destruction and pain. Unfortunately, the world is full of constant battles that cause many relationships to fail. Divorce rates have skyrocketed over the past years and young families are slowly falling apart. Although each relationship is different, one of the main reasons that arguments occur is because of a lack of proper communication or hidden secrets. Either of these things can create chaos.
