O’Brien seems to be really confused throughout the novel. The book The Outsiders is about a gang who protects each other. They have to deal with many loses and hardships. I liked this book because it showed a group of friends and family, working together to try to be higher than the other gangs, and it showed how close people who are in the same group can get. A character I like is Soda. He protected the whole group, and stood up for them.
For the teenage boy marcus jordan he has many different obstacles in life that has just been popped up in his life. For example, he has moved to a new neighborhood and high school. So, that means he has too now find new friends and also pick what type of crowd he would try to fit in with. Many different times in the book he had to work his way out of a controversial situation. In some ways Marcus Jordan and I are very alike as in the way we both came from new schools and had to make new friends.

The introduction of the character Joseph Davidson provides the author with a catalyst to open the metaphor of the silkworm and take the reader on a journey to understand the life experiences of Tom Leyton. Joseph Davidson, who is portrayed as someone with poor self esteem is also described as an outsider. The running man is used by the author to reveal the experiences of Joseph Davidson and demonstrate his growth of becoming less marginalised throughout the novel.
What do you value most in others, a kind heart, empathy, or the inability to look past how others see you? Judging somebody off something that they can’t control shows how you look at the people around you and what you value in them. Everyone runs deeper and more complex than their social status and how people perceive them. This is why the most important thesis in S.E Hinton’s novel, The Outsiders is that social status doesn't define a person, it’s judging somebody over social status that defines them People are more complex than how people view them. Ponyboy; a Greaser was smart, loved to read and enjoyed watching the sunset but wasn't viewed as such.
My character Tony D’Amato is a veteran coach of the Miami sharks a once great American football team and is trying to lead them to victory one last time. My character seems to be very respected for his success and devoted to coaching his football team and nothing else that he has become estranged from his wife and kids. He comes across to be very hard working, intelligent, religious, and afraid of failure. He seems that he wants to make no mistakes, and is focused on one thing, to coach his football team and nothing else, that he has become so self-centered, and greedy that he hasn’t even bothered to pick up the phone and call his own son in over a year.
