According to Tony Miano of Christian Apologetics and Research Ministries, “Evangelism is the announcement, proclamation, and/or preaching of the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4), the good news of and about Jesus Christ” (Miano). This is important for Christians because as followers of Christ we are called to tell others about who He is. In the book of Matthew, Jesus says: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. The synagogue leaders would often ask Jesus foundational questions in attempts to get Him to answer incorrectly. In Mark 12 we see Jesus respond to the Pharisees questions with more questions. The Pharisees tried to trap Jesus by asking, “Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not?” (Mark 12:14) Jesus responds, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?” (Mark 12:16) The Pharisees respond, “Caesar's” (Mark 12:17). Jesus shows the Pharisees their error through their own words. Paul treats his conversations with the Synagogue teachers with the same care. When questioning and conversing with the Synagogue teachers “Paul did not attack their statements but simply got them to think about what they were saying” (Ulrich 5). While the Creation to Christ story is not a parable used to illustrate a lesson but rather a true story told with complete veracity, it still mirrors Jesus' way of sharing stories in the Gospels. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a parable is “a usually short fictitious story that illustrates a moral attitude or a religious principle.” Jesus used stories to communicate with those around Him and we are able to do the same through the Creation to Christ
