Though some might disagree, tornadoes are the most dangerous storm because tornadoes cause too much damage, tornadoes kill too many people, and tornadoes have five categories.
Tornadoes cause too much damage
A tornado has the power to lift cars and homes off the mobile ground (Bluestein). A tornado that can lift cars and homes has to be a very powerful and destructive tornado. It shows us the real power and strength of a tornado.
A tornado gets its power from spinning around the vortex of a tornado. A tornado can twirl up to 300 mph (Bluestein). This helps us understand the true power and the destruction of a tornado.
Tornadoes have opportunity to be a massive natural disaster. A tornado can be one mile in diameter (Bluestein). It shows us …show more content…

Fujita came up with the Fujita Scale ranking tornado damage 0 being the least destructive to 5 being the most destructive (Marti). With Dr. Fujita help scientist today study tornadoes without the liability of getting killed. Without Dr. Fujita’s Scale scientist would have little understanding about the tornadoes spin speed and damage.
The Tornado most likely occur around summer in the Mid-West states (Challoner 22). Tornadoes come from thunderstorm which has to have a warm weather and a cold front to make a tornado. The Mid-West states are normally cooler in the summer and it’s a perfect environment for a tornado to form.
When tornadoes occur, sometimes bringing hail, which can also lead into harmful damage (Challoner 20). Hail can be big as a softball and thousands coming down that will cause a lot of damage to homes and cars. Hail is a bad natural disaster and it can knock people out, but with the tornado coming that could kill people easy if they are passed out.
The worst tornadoes in US history was Tri-State Tornado destroying five towns people (Kreiser). A tornado that destroyed 5 cities people will most likely be the worst tornado in US history. Now we know tornadoes have enough damage to kill mass amounts of …show more content…

There are not many violent tornadoes, but when they occur they have no mercy and kill tons of people. Violent tornadoes account up to 70% of all tornado deaths (Tornado). Only 30% of tornadoes that aren’t violent kill people from falling or flying debris, which is a small number.
Tornadoes kill 60 people each year (Tate). 60 people die each year, that’s almost a full class of kids each year that die from tornadoes. Then US then has years that this number goes up like in 1925 when the Tri-State Tornado hit the US.
