In the novel, “1984”, written by George Orwell writes a book was based on the extremes of thought control by an important message for people living with all types of government; therefore he was concerned that governments were moving more toward totalitarianism. George worried that these governments might start taking away more and more of people's rights and freedoms. The book was to try to get people to think about what could happen if governments kept becoming more controlling and totalitarian, this creates an outlook of the ordinary man named Winston Smith, who’s thoughtful and intellectual.
