In the videos “Beware online “filter bubble”” by Eli Pariser and “Tracking our online tracker” by Gary Kovacs, both of them were talk about the similar thing that is tracking. In Eli Pariser’s video, he said that the internet are tracking our online hobbit and deciding what information we can see. In Gary Kovacs, he said that we don’t have the privacy on internet. In my experience, I know that online are tracking me every day. It decide what advertise I can see, for example when my mom and I went to the same website, the advertises on her page are about clothes but on my page is about travel, school, etc. All the advertises I see online everyday are chosen base on my searching, and watching online. Sometime the websites that are linked is the sexual page, and after that a few ad appear on my screen is contain sexual content which I really don’t want to see. Furthermore based on our online hobbit, and internet only gives us what they think we want to see but not what we need to see. They suggest us most page that contain unnecessary information, most of it is entertain information. Just like students, we hardly volunteer to find the knowledge online in case the teacher want us to research for assignment, so the internet always suggest all the page that contain unnecessary information, most of it is entertain, movie, music, game. As we click to the link, we sit in front of the computer hour to hour just to watch these unimportant pages. We watch the same page every day, our brain stop thinking, we are loosen the ability to receive new knowledge., we start to live indoor, and stop our connect with the world.
