All levels of society benefited from these trade routes. For example, rich people, they came to control ancient trading and commerce by force and violence. To keep the opportunities within their families, and keep everyone else out. In other words, wealthy families controlled some of how trading worked, which helped their families stay successful. One of many technologies that help changed the world would be paper. The invention of paper has made the use of writing much better. Paper was invented during the Han dynasty, probably just at the time, the Silk Road trade was beginning to flourish. Far superior to the narrow wooden strips or hard-to-handle rolls of silk that the Chinese had previously used for writing, paper soon became the writing material of choice throughout China and East Asia. It was found also in the Buddhist temples of China” This means that paper has been a popular writing tool back then and since it’s been so successful, it’s still popular today. Another example is from Brainscape.com that “the invention of paper greatly spread the written word across China and the world. In fact, it was the development of paper that allowed the Chinese to develop printing using wood blocks. This made it easy to create standard texts, thus easing the dissemination of important information. It even was the driving force behind the spread of Buddhism across Asia. The Chinese inventions of printing and paper established the importance of the written word for thousands of years.” This means that the reason why paper has been successful is that paper has given the world so many opportunities to write, learn, record and even draw.
