The Triangle Factory Fire Case On March 25 1911 a fire broke out on the 8th floor of the Triangle Shirtwaist company. The fire quickly spread to the other floors of the building. After the fire ceased it left 146 dead and 71 injured. The fire mostly affected the 8th and 9th floor. Most of the people on the 10th flof survived the fire with not to many injuries. Flesh & Blood So Cheap”) Some people blamed the the building as a fire hazard how doors would open from the inside and how many many highly flammable materials were scattered out. Many doors were left locked and many people couldn't get out of the building. There were only one set of stairs reported that wasn't locked. On top of that the water hose did not work when they needed it Many peoples outrage fell on the company's owners Max Blanck and Isaac Harris. They were the ones reported to lock the doors and put out the flammable materials. The trial was held in the courtroom of Judge Thomas Crain. Many of the relatives of the people who died came to see the case. Extra police were brought in when a woman followed Harris an Blanck and yelled murders and them. The opening statement of Charles Bostwick was that he would prove through witnesses and that the 9th floor escape route was locked at the time of the fire.
