The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins, is about a teenage girl named Katniss Everdeen who is like a mother to her little sister Prim. The reason for that is because of Katniss father’s death that was due to an explosion in the coal mines, her mother was not in one’s right mind to take care of her children. That’s where Katniss’ hunting skills comes in. She has to provide for her family somehow, so before her father died he taught her how to hunt, that’s how she is so good with an arrow.
