My interviewee, Tawanna Parker Kenny, in my opinion, works in an incredibly fascinating and competitive job. She works in operations management as the president and owner of FATH Transport LTD. FATH Transport is a for-profit trucking company that services a variety of clients such as Amazon and Toyota. FATH Transport LTD's goal is providing superb service to every client with integrity and reliability. The company is known as the organization with a high morale that may cost more, but in the end is the most effective trucking service provided throughout the transportation industry. The roles of a logistics representative are to negotiate the rates for orders and deals with clients directly. Without the logistics representative, companies would be without the basis of the company. There would be no loads (orders) to dispatch to truck drivers, rates would already be determined like in grocery store, which would cause people to be over (or more likely) underpaid. Without a competent logistics representative, drivers and clients would be without communication. This makes logistics the most important role besides the actual delivering of the load/order, itself. She fills several roles, in addition to logistics, within FATH Transport since it is still small in size. These roles include being the accountant, human resources manager, and administrator. Even though her schedule can be demanding due to the various tasks she completes, she can be reached easily by phone or email during office hours. She fulfills several roles at FATH Transport LTD, which results in her completing various tasks. For instance, in the role as an accountant, she does taxes such as International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) for the company, does payroll to ensure her employees are paid on time and manages employee and company expenses. As a human resources manager, she manages employee complaints, hires and fires employees. As a dispatcher, she calls her clients and receives orders for her employees to fill. Mrs. Parker Kenny, then, takes those orders and sends information such as location, the weight of the order, and the pay the employee will receive, via text. As the operations manager of FATH Transport LTD, she manages her status as a registered trucking business and ensuring all the paperwork for the company, such as titles, DOT inspections, truck maintenance is up to date. As an operations manager, she operates in every role to ensure the company is running effectively. She evaluates each aspect and determines if it can be modified or improved in some
