No matter who someone's hero is one thing stays the same. A hero is someone that has strived to help out of their own will. Anyone could be a hero. However not everyone is a hero. Being a hero takes courage.
Numerous People state that Chris McCandless was a very thoughtless individual who made crazy decisions after graduating college. Yet many people found his actions to be inspiring as he risked his life to flee the hectic world that surrounded him. As Chris was raised in a perfect environment, living in wealthy middle-class, His relationship with his parents was very degenerating especially towards his father after he found out his dad cheated on his mother when he was younger. This ultimately led Chris to begin his trip to Alaska so he can find his true-self and to live life how it's meant to be lived.
A hero is a person admired for his qualities or deeds. These individuals have impacted others by performing extraordinary acts. In the book To Kill A Mockingbird Jeremy Atticus Finch shows that he is heroic. There are numerous ways he shows this. He keeps calm when in a dangerous situation. Jem also is brave and courageous. Jem puts other first and he protects others.

A hero can be classified by many things. A hero can be superman, a police officer, and even your mom, but what makes a hero? I’ll admit some of these characteristics are far-fetched since I don’t know anyone who can fly or randomly saves babies on a normal day. Whether you look at how our culture defines a hero, how the epic poem, “The Odyssey,” defines a hero, how the Bible defines a hero, or how you define a hero. The word hero may mean something to one person but for another person it may mean something else.

For a veteran to be called an American hero, they would be willing to take risks, be brave, and save people’s lives. Another thing they would have to do to become an American hero is that they need to stay faithful to their team and country. Another thing they need to do to be called an American hero is they need to be patient, caring, and selfless. Another thing they need to do to be called an American hero is to be respectful, be tidy, and follow direction or they could get in trouble and maybe if they go to war a bad thing may happen to that person and maybe others around them. For a veteran to be called an American hero they may need to do some of these and being called an American hero is very important and honoring.
There are various approaches to describing a hero. There is also an infinite number of individuals who can be defined as heroes. A hero can be a person who demonstrates valor. A hero can be a champion. A hero can even save a life or even mankind.
To me, a hero is someone who gives everything they have to assure the happiness of others and a hero is also someone who gives up his life or her life so someone else could live. In all honesty, a hero isn’t really what we think a “hero” is based on definitions and what the movies or even comic books have told us. Anyone can be
