The Meaning of “True” The meaning of the word “true” can be interpreted in many different ways. While it may not seem this way, a word such as this can have a deeper meaning if one were to look deeper than normal. The definition of the word “true” is “in accordance with fact or reality; accurate or exact”. To many, the meaning is viewed very similar to what the definition states. However, if one were to take a good look at the meaning, they would see it in a much deeper way than they originally thought. Some people may not look deep enough into the meaning of the word “true”. On the surface, many people see the meaning to mean something that is “factually accurate” and can be proven, which is true. The word “true” can be used to say whether something is factually accurate. For example, if someone said “it rained last Friday” and it did happen to rain, that statement would be viewed as factually accurate or simply, true. Another example could be if someone said “My car is a white sedan”; if their car was in fact a white sedan, the statement would be true because it is factually accurate. Both of those statements can be fact checked to be proven factually accurate or inaccurate as well. A big reason of people thinking this way can be understandably due to the definition, but while this is what true may mean to some, others like to think of the word in a deeper sense.
