The theory was brought up by Freud had believed that the aim of psychoanalysis therapy is to release pent up emotions and experiences, that make the unconscious conscious, in and that it can have a healing process. When people have a certain perspective on how we see the world we don’t try to change the way we think.For example, in the movie Tucker and Dale vs. Evil Chad chose to not like the “hillbillies” and chose to believe what he was told when he was younger. So when he saw Tucker and Dale at the small stop n shop he automatically put them into the category of “hillbillies” who wanted to harm them in the middle of the woods. This is the thought that no matter how old you are you're still influenced by what you were told when you were younger. So when Chad thought it was smart to project his anger against “hillbillies” towards Tucker and mainly Dale in the end of the movie everything started to make since for the whole plot really. Towards the end of the movie Chad and his remaining friends made it into the vacation home, when they gained access to the home they relaxed a little when they noticed it was just Allison there so in attempt to leave Allison said it was all a mistake and that they should listen to the others story too, around this time Tucker and Dale wondered into their home. When entering a fight almost broke out but Allison calmed the situation and convinced them to tell each other’s side of the story. When Chad started to reveal that his mother was raped and his father and all his father's friends were killed due to a Memorial day massacre, by a group of hillbillies, that he was out for them ever since then. When learning the side of his story some fighting broke out due to rising tension and after a long chase Chad got Allison and had tied her up to some lumberjack company far from the vacation home. Dale came and attempted to save the day and long story short they found out that Chad had been part “hillbilly” the whole time. So being full of resentment and life long fears, or life long grudges are probably not good to hold onto. The negatives held in the past can’t bring positives in the present or the
