Re-visioning the message of tuition free community college, the audience I would try to reach would be new high school students and their parents. Students and parents should be informed early in the education process to better prepare students for the educational requirements needed to be accepted into tuition free community college programs. This group is essential to the basic intentions of tuition wavier programs and the ones that would receive the most benefit, both educational and financial, from it. Additionally, Students and parents would find my campaign to promote the importance of tuition free community college on large posters ads placed throughout campus as well as on the school’s web page. The posters will have a one bold slogan on the top, an image and an address to a specific web site on the bottom with a scan code for smartphones. The poster taglines will express positive statements such as, “Expand Your Possibilities with Tuition Free Community College!” or “You Can Afford College When Its Tuition Free!” Also, included on the posters will be engaged pictures of students actively involved in class or at group study to reiterate the message that tuition free programs are for responsible students that maintain their grade point average. Finally, the scan code on the bottom of the poster will allow the students immediate access to the campaign’s web page via their smartphones. The online campaign will be similar to the printed ads, but with the addition of the external link to social media and web page. By having the web page linked to Facebook and Twitter will increase discussion about the benefits of tuition free community college. The web page would provide the most detail such as outlining the exact requirement to enter the program, upcoming meeting that will discuss strategies on how to keep students on track and a list political candidates that promote free college
