I’m searching the web for music like any other day, and suddenly I see Tupac pop up in my rap playlist. Of all the different artists I had come across, I hadn’t discovered one like Tupac. His music captivated me with positive lyrics that had powerful meaning behind them. His intelligent views on those subjects and how he spoke on them is the reason why he had great power over how I adhere to my own morals today.
His political efforts and how he encouraged others to be apart of his movement was motivational to many including myself. During his interviews, Tupac spoke on his attempt to raise black people up; he said was organizing to start the Black Panthers up again not for a vengeful purpose but more for the more thoughtful purpose of uplifting black people. In the same effort, he would expose the racial injustice being done towards blacks through some of his lyrics. In his music he would refer to the rich people being on top in power and trying to oppress the less fortunate. I

Being the mature young adult he was, Tupac set an example for younger people by spreading his message to end the war in the streets. For example, in one of his posthumous tracks, “Ghetto Gospel”, he said, “Before we find world peace, we gotta find peace and end the war in the streets.” He righteously cried out to stop the belligerent behavior towards each other. Instead of continuing the gang violence and nonsense in the street, he advised people to focus on more pressing matters like he said in the song, “Changes”: “And still I see no changes, can 't a brother get a little peace, It 's war on the streets and a war in the Middle East, Instead of war on poverty.” Tupac had a sense of awakening to be able to realize the pointlessness of the destructive behavior.
