Have you ever had a turning point in your life?These 3 particular I am going to write about today had major turning points in their lives. A turning point is a time when your life changes, or turn directions.These 3 people are called Brian from the story Hatchet, Moon Shadow from the story Dragon Wings, and Rachel from the story Eleven.Brian faced loneliness, Moon Shadow faced fear of a country, and Rachel faced big emotions.Brian, Moon Shadow, and Rachel have faced turning points that have majorly changed their lives.
In this story, Brian faces loneliness and hunger while he was stranded on a deserted island. First, Brian became extremely hungry on paragraph 7, page 5, “The hunger had been there, but something else- Fear, pain had held it down.”This shows that Brian is not used to being in the woods.Later, Brian was very lonely and ready to give up Until he remembered what his teacher said, “You are your most valuable asset.”(Pg.7 Para.24).This got Brian motivated and he began to try.This is good because if he tries, he will have a higher chance of survival.This has been tough for Brian, but if he tries and keeps his appetite low, he shall survive.

First, Moon Shadow’s father has moved away which led to a big emotional impact on Moon Shadow’s life, “My father had left in the Middle Kingdom, or China, as the white demons call it, and traveled over sea to work in the demon land”(America).(pg.20 para 1) this shows that Moon Shadow is living a tough life without his father.Moon Shadow was also curious , but fearful of the of the new country, America, which is where the white demons live, “I was curious about the Land of the Golden Mountain mainly because my father was there.”(pg.21 para.4). This shows that Moon Shadow is desperate to know about the America.Moon Shadow lives a curious and tough
