Do you think love will go on and on for hundreds of years? Every human has the right to be loved someone at least once in a lifetime. Just like the literary work, Romeo and Juliet. How two star crossed lovers fell in love with each other. Eventually, every author lived in different periods just like Stephenie Meyer, author of Twilight and Ovid, with his masterpiece Pyramus and Thisbe. However, even if they had their own unique way of writing, their message would always be the same and eventually be remembered as an inspiration for other authors. The protagonists of Twilight were Isabella Swan and Edward Cullen. Isabella Swan, the human was a very quiet and more of an introvert, but yet brave. She tends to lie a lot to people, but very brave when it comes to facing challenges or obstacles with Edward. Edward Cullen, the vampire was stubborn at times, compassionate and overprotective and he also tended to over react when it came to Bella. Just like how he was the strong lion and how she was the weak lamb. “And so the lion fell in love with the lamb…" he murmured. I looked away, hiding my eyes as I thrilled to the word. “What a stupid lamb," I sighed. “What a sick, masochistic lion.” (Meyer, Stephenie. Twilight. USA: Little, Brown. 2005. Print). No one could stop the feelings that the characters had towards each other. In Pyramus and Thisbe, marriage was forbidden and they lived in two different worlds only being separated by a wall. But even though, they would meet up no matter how late the night was. In Twilight, it was two different worlds. However, Bella didn’t care whether Edward was a monster who drank blood. It didn’t matter to her as long as he loved and stayed with her forever. “About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him-and I didn’t know how potent that part might be-that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him”. (Meyer, Stephenie. Twilight. USA: Little, Brown. 2005. Print). Edward couldn’t deny his feeling towards Bella either. Their love was unstoppable even when Jacob, the werewolf didn’t want them together, or when Bella’s father forbids her to meet Edward. ““You are the most important thing to me now. The most important thing to me ever.” (Meyer, Stephenie. Twilight. USA: Little, Brown. 2005.
