Tylenol Murders Tylenol. The number one medication to relieve your headache was now know one of the most deadliest thing in the world. On september of 1982 seven people ingested Extra Strength Tylenol and died unexpectedly. On that same day investigators revealed that the tylenol was poisoned with sodium cyanide. A lot of investigating happened and it lead to 10 suspect, but only two main suspect stood out. Roger Arnold, and Robert Richardson are the two main suspects with the most evidence. Given that, still to this day the mystery of who did it and why is unsolved, but only still knowing that “Seven people died unexpectedly in chicago, illinois, in september of 1982 after ingesting capsules of Extra Strength Tylenol” (History U.S. Events). In like manner, “Roger Arnold, who work ar a food warehouse and was an amature chemist was arrested for keeping a stash of cyanide in his house” (History U.S. Events). “A search of his apartment produced a white powder substance, guns, ammunition, two one-way tickets to thailand, and a book that explained how to put poison in capsules” (Tylenol Murders). “Even with this seemingly compelling evidence, police charged Arnold with possession of illegal firearms and dismissed him as a suspect in early October 1982” (Tylenol Murders). “He had nervous Breakdown due to the media attention, which he blamed on Morty Sinclair, a bar owner” (Tylenol Murders). Even though there was a lot of evidence with Roger Arnold it wasn’t enough for police. However the police did offer a $100,000 award for any information concerning anyone involved in the poisoning. Even with more evidence then Robert Richardson no charge were involved for
