Perhaps not as famous as America’s greatest playwright William Shakespeare, Tyler Perry, a 42 year old self-proclaimed writer actor and director to the urban circuit has single handedly changed the direction of mass media in general. He has become known as the man who reinvented urban theater and gave new meaning to Gospel Theater. Unlike urban theater, Gospel Theater includes religious elements, incorporating small religious inspired characters into each of his creative narratives.
