Upon meeting with a recruiter at the USC Career Fair, I want to confirm my interest in the Sales Representative position at E. & J. Gallo Winery. I recently graduated from USC with a major in Sociology and I am very excited about this opportunity to put my communication skills, management experience, and public relations skills to assist in the management and promotion of the company’s vast portfolio of wine & spirits to current and potential customers. As a Volunteer Management Intern at the Alliance for Children’s Rights, I was able to juggle multiple roles, such as assisting in the management of the non profit’s volunteer base by tracking volunteer work, maintaining and forming relationships with volunteers, and developing effective methods of recruiting and support for volunteers. Additionally, by focusing volunteer efforts and effectively employing my communication and problem solving skills, I helped expedite the initial phases of the intake process to help volunteers quickly identify client needs and assess their eligibility for the Alliance’s legal services. Furthermore, as an Office Assistant with the OC Registrar of Voters, I was successful in recruiting over 150 volunteers and several new poll sites for the General Election 2016 through effective communication with poll site leaders and staff. After identifying those gaps, I used my creativity to persuade potential volunteers to commit to the ROV’s cause and help provide a safe and fair election for all voters, including those with a disability.
