First off, I want to show my gratitude to whoever took their time to go over my application. I am truly grateful to have been given the opportunity to get this far in my education and have the courage to apply. Sadly to my concern my application got rejected for factors that are probably beyond anyone's control. I understand that USC is a very competitive school, with its acceptance rate being low. As a student who has struggled more than ever these past two years, I never would have thought that I would again be applying to colleges. I know how hard it can be to achieve something not within range, but I know it is not impossible. My grades aren't the strongest, being that I did fail to complete some classes while at Cerritos College. But I …show more content…

My story is still the same. I am a single mother of 1 who wants nothing more than to be an inspiration to my daughter and show that anything is possible. As said in my application, going into college I came in strong with taking 18 units and ending my first semester with a 3.4 GPA. Coming from high school, this was big for me as I also struggled in high school and had a 2.8 GPA. I was so determined to even reach a way higher GPA my second semester as I realized I was better off settling for a 3.0 GPA. Unfortunately life took a turn and between moving states, being a mother, an employee, and being mentally and physically drained from a relationship that went on for too long, I dedicated myself to school and my dreams. I want to demonstrate and become somebody at USC. I know there is so much more I can learn and contribute to if the opportunity arises. I am a person of word who is persistent in every goal I set myself to. I consider myself an entrepreneur already knowing what and how to start a business. I would love to take the opportunities that USC School of Marshall has to offer and I know something big can come out of this program for
