In society, individual minds are shaped to view the world in different perspectives. I am an Indian student living in Sacramento, California, a city with many diverse communities. Living in this city has given me the opportunity to be exposed to various cultures and to share my culture and history with students of other backgrounds and cultures. Attending USC’s summer program will allow me the opportunity to study on a large diversified campus and give me exposure to even more cultures and educational programs. The summer program at USC would also give me a first look at college life and the opportunity to expand my knowledge of what to expect from college while studying on a well-recognized campus. I also would look forward to interacting with other students who are considering attending college.
If provided the opportunity to participate in USC's summer program I expect to gain a better understanding of college life which will help me when choosing a college. During the 2017 Seize-The-Day-Tours, I visited USC’s campus and was impressed by the campus and prospect of attending a college like USC. I am viewed as a leader because I do not mind being the spokesperson and presenting whenever necessary. As a leader, I always seek to learn more and to help others. I often encourage others to participate in class discussions because I believe in collaborating with others to come up with agreeable solutions. I learned the importance and many qualities of teamwork while being a member of a dance team.
