454 Words2 Pages

The non-fiction novel Uber Taxi Cab Confessions by Joe Mahedy is a collection of short stories about the author's experiences as an Uber driver. After the author retired from his long career as a broadcasting engineer for MTV, HBO, and ESPN, he decided to become an Uber driver for Stamford, Connecticut and the surrounding areas. Mahedy's adventures with the Uber riders were shocking and comical while others were weird and disgusting. Also, the author is very likable and tries to relate to every person that enters his cab. Also, the author includes YouTube links in some his stories to prove that the information he is telling is true. The only complaint I have about Uber Taxi Cab Confessions by Joe Mahedy is chapters thirty (Ten Commandments of Drivers) and thirty-one (Ten Commandments of Riders). I believe these chapters should not be included in the book because they do not pertain to the reader. It was a chore to read these chapters and it took away from the original story. I rate Uber Taxi Cab Confessions by Joe Mahedy a 4 out of 4 stars. I believe this book deserves at least a full four stars because it kept me intrigued from beginning to end. Although this book contains mature events, the author does not go into detail and I believe this book would be suitable for teenage
