The UK apparel and footwear market has been growing steadily over the last six years, with 2017 expecting to set the market value at 62 billion British pounds. This can also be seen in annual clothing expenditure, based off of a gradual increase in the volume of sales compared to the previous ten years. The majority of clothing purchases came from women in search of outwear garments, nearly double that of men's outerwear purchasing.

There are many leading brands which hold value in the UK market, companies such as Primark, Next, New Look and online shops such as ASOS.
