I love the ukulele. Ukulele stands for “ jumping flea cats,” because you have to jump all over the neck of the ukulele. Playing the ukulele is my favorite thing to do. It’s educational and fun. One time when I was in Mt. Airy NC, I played the ukulele with my best friend, Isabella. We played Riptide, by Vance Joy, and Radioactive, by Imagine Dragons in this castle place near the gazebo. The three major parts to learn how to play the ukulele are, groups to join, and facts about it. The five types of ukuleles, plus the five parts. To begin with, you need to learn some facts and groups to join. One group is the MAUI group. MAUI stands for, “ Mount AIry Ukulele Invasion. This is a great group to join if you live in Mt. Airy or close to it. We practice multiple songs for eight weeks, then we have a concert. The ukulele instructors name is George Smith. He plays the ukulele, the guitar, and many more instruments. He also tunes pianos. Fact: ukuleles are just like guitars, just different chords and smaller. If you get a brand new one, they can range from one-hundred dollars to one-thousand dollars. But they can be more. Chords and strum patterns are great to learn in groups because the instructor can give you secrets to help you remember them. There are five of them. The smallest one is the sopranissimo. Next step up would be the soprano. It is a high pitched ukulele. The middle sized ukulele is the concert. The tenor ukulele is after the concert. It has a lower sound than the concert but it is not the lowest.The lowest ukulele is the baritone. It is the biggest ukulele. Every kind of ukulele is tuned the same, and the chords are the same, except for the baritone. If you played the guitar before you played the ukulele, I suggest to play the baritone
