A hero is someone who stands up for something even if everyone else disagrees or someone who perseveres on. They are not afraid and never back down. Both Ulysses and Beowulf is a greater hero than Ulysses because he doesn't have hubris, is determined until his last breath and is always calm, he never gets angry. Ulysses had been too ignorant and was too filled with hubris to keep his mouth shut after devising a brilliant plan to escape from Polyphemus, the cyclops. He yelled “Poor fool!
