Umanite Profondo Pensier The darkness surrounded her it was almost like a trench of wickedness screaming “Jump!” The air sucked around her in the darkness. The air was filling her lungs, at too fast of a pace. Making her heart pump the blood that would soon dry up. At this moment in her time she knew that it was her time. It was her time to let the wickedness take over, to let it consume her sole. As she fell, it was as if time had stopped. Little pieces of glass floated around her. They mirrored a disembodied girl. She thought of when she was little, when the world was slightly less cruel than it used to be. When her innocence wasn’t a fatal flaw, when she didn’t have fight against the darkness with no support. She fell blissfully into a bottomless pit. Her short-term haven was demolished as she fell into a pair of arms. She opened her fawn like eyes. The ghastly appearance of her was a sight for sore eyes, she looked disheveled and her eyes had a raw look in them. A look that could make anyone bow down at her waiting approval. As Robert Frost would say “ nothing gold can stay”. The gold evaporated from her body, traded with the demented thoughts of the afterlife. She was a shape shifter, the most common of the human race. She was the type that acted humorous and charming to society and black with no emotion within. The one no one expected to feel upset ever. She was glorified by the thought that she couldn’t be caught, how she fooled them all. She didn’t know the origin of the self- hatred. She was well liked, a social butterfly even. It could be the abandonment aspect of someone whom she never met but knew of her, and yet moved effortlessly. She didn’t think it was that reasoning either.
