“The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.” Humans have consecrated the existence of a divine being or beings, and referred to their guidance to drive moral and ethical frameworks for thousands of years under the veil of religion. Although a foundational definition for religion has not been established, it is often referred to as a particular system of faith or worship intertwined with cultural practices that ordain the belief in the supernatural and spiritual. These religions often direct the path of its adherents and regulate the actions they perform and opinions they convey throughout their lives.
