I have found this class to be fascinating, and it should aid in any future endeavors I may have in my personal and professional life. Understanding the basics and getting introduced to real world scenarios are, in my opinion, invaluable ways to educate students. We will all need to understand the basics of business law, whether or not we are obtaining higher education in business or any other degree for that matter. Understanding our “rights as employees” as well as a “supervisor” or even an executive type, should be taught to all. I do believe that the lessons discussed thus far, have given us the foundations needed and perhaps further practical exercises in contracts and learning about other legal systems should be covered in this curriculum, or further on in another course. …show more content…
Whether you purchase a car, a house, a loan, a wireless plan, cable TV/Internet, utility bills, etc. a contract is what binds you to a service or product. Understanding specifics on what to look for and what rights you have as a consumer, I believe, could be broken down and explained further for students who sometimes can’t comprehend the basics of contracts. Practical exercises, a draft contract for the examples listed above, could be used to teach future students what “key” terms, hidden or confusing terminology, to make a better and more educated decision before signing a contract. I understand that major purchases, like a house, your realtor or even a lawyer will be present to explain in detail certain provisions or context. For your everyday, occurrences though, knowledge and a course like this would benefit us
