To many people, one's own dreams can tell a lot about a person. What exactly is a dream? A dream is a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep. If someone was to dive even deeper into what is exactly is a dream they would see that dreams is more complicated than what its definition defines it to be. Based on Bunuel's “Une Chien Andalou” and Freud “On Dreams”, the most psychologically significant aspects of dreams are sexual desires and wants that seem to only come out in dreams due to being repressed. Although I can agree on the fact that sexual desires that are repressed can resurface in dreams that is not all there is to a dream. Dreams are more than about lust for someone.On page 157 Freud even says, “The content of dreams, however, does not consist of entirely of situations, but also includes disconnected fragments of visual images, speeches and even bits of unmodified thought.” It is more about opening one’s own eyes and seeing everything in the world in a very different light.
