To many people, one's own dreams can tell a lot about a person. What exactly is a dream? A dream is a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occurring in a person's mind during sleep. If someone was to dive even deeper into what is exactly is a dream they would see that dreams is more complicated than what its definition defines it to be. Based on Bunuel's “Une Chien Andalou” and Freud “On Dreams”, the most psychologically significant aspects of dreams are sexual desires and wants that seem to only come out in dreams due to being repressed. Although I can agree on the fact that sexual desires that are repressed can resurface in dreams that is not all there is to a dream. Dreams are more than about lust for someone.On page 157 Freud even says, “The content of dreams, however, does not consist of entirely of situations, but also includes disconnected fragments of visual images, speeches and even bits of unmodified thought.” It is more about opening one’s own eyes and seeing everything in the world in a very different light. Different than it once was viewed before. What I am trying to say is that dreams makes you see things that you weren’t fully aware of, leaving you to make sense of it later. This represent how dreams tend to be. They are nothing but a mixed of jumbled up thoughts and wants that in the end means something. What could it possibly mean who knows. In the film the main female character got the attention of a male but pushed him away which could represent the idea of suppressing her desires and in the end she was with another man where her desires wasn't on restraint any more on a man who was not into her but eventually giving in.
