I am elated to be a part of UNICEF USA. Although I am new to the organization, I have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use the knowledge and skills I have obtained through my studies and diverse work experience to bring change to the world. I would love to implement my skill set to make a positive impact within the role of Capital Lead. I am honored to work with an organization that shares the same commitment to helping others as I do. My diverse background includes involvement in leadership, children's education, and event planning. As a Capital Lead, I believe my experiences with organizing events and having leadership roles will make me a good addition to the Dallas CAT Council. Training- When it comes to training others, communication is key. I have used effective communication within a team setting to reach common goals. My ability to multi-task has helped me to meet deadlines in a timely manner. I plan to use my creativity to come up with ways to incorporate fundraising into existing CAT activities and events. I am very organized and detail oriented. Fundraising- I know the importance of the funds that UNICEF USA raises for UNICEF. I have not had much exposure to fundraising so this opportunity would allow me to develop skills in that area. Even though I have not had much involvement in fundraising, I would use my interpersonal skills to leverage the networks I have with my church as well as personal contacts I have in the DFW area.
