Our mural reflects the government's role in bringing people back to work during the Great Depression. The New Deal expanded the government’s role in bringing people back to work, and controlling the economy. They worked to form unions for everyone, including minorities who had been neglected before. These unions worked to improve conditions for workers and fulfill workers demands. However, lots of people wanted women out of the work force as the economy crashed so the jobs could be given to men.
