Page 1: The day was boring. Other than a snack of carrots, there had been no excitement for Agu Gugu. He wanted to just play with toys in his room, but even that did not seem to be an option. Opening the door to his room, Gugu 's mother looked back at him.
Yuki stared at the skies as she looked bored at the Gates. Yes she was condemned by the gods for a crime she did in her life. So for her punishment she had ended up as a guard for the Gate. These gates once opened are forbidden worlds. People often seek these worlds wishing to start anew in life without their memories.

k. Outside the winter storm was picking up. Pedestrians were scampering like frightened puppies for shelter against the clutches of the swiftly falling snow powder. He took his reading glasses off, and then set them down carefully next to his manuscript. He eyed it a moment, and then cupped his chin with the palm of his hands. “I don’t fancy the ending much,” he complained to himself.

“I stood petrified. What had happened to me? My father had just been struck, in front of me, and I had not even blinked.” (Wiesel 39) In chapter 3 it’s discussing how what happened and what has changed as Elie and his father had been going through the process of selection.
Jacob opened his eyes. He looked around him inside the cryo chamber as his eyes were still adjusting to the bright lights from the ceiling. The loud, monotone loudspeaker blared, “All humans from Section 5 report to the recycling chamber!” The cryo chambers opened up and the people from Section 5 detached from their places.
Raina Ruff Due Date: Wednesday Nov. 2 Journal 3 I am reading To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and I am on page 208. To Kill a Mockingbird Journal #3 I am in the middle of the Novel “To Kill A Mockingbird” in which so far there has been conflict with families in a small town in Alabama. Three men stood, huddling together on the blazing hot afternoon. They whispered amongst themselves, the discussion bouncing back and forth, debating over a certain topic— revolution. Boxes and crates of resources and weaponry from the French and Indian War surrounded them, covering them from the view of passing citizens of Boston. The cover also served another purpose. A spy by the name of Quintus Kelsey was hidden behind them, listening in on the men’s conversation.

And another part of him couldn 't help but wish de Foix was his father, as he had first thought.
While reading this story I could only think one thing ‘how could anybody do such things to a child?’ I don’t understand how difficult would be to go through the things Celie has, and continues to go through. How uneasy she must have felt it anytime her bedroom door squeaked opened and in walked the man who should have protected her, that instead brutally forced her to do things way beyond her age. This story is set in a time when such cruel diabolical behavior was normal makes me glad that times have changed. Nothing Celie’s father did is agreeable in any way.

Calpurnia and Aunt Alexandra are both great mother figures to Jem and Scout. In this journal, I will be characterizing and evaluating.

He saw Antonapoulos sitting in a large chair before him. He sat tranquil and unmoving. His face was inscrutable. His mouth was wise and smiling.
