1926 Carter flew the first contract flight in USA which was air mail.
1927 William Boeing started his own airline, the Boeing Air Transport.
1929 Mr. Boeing merged his company with Whitney and Pratt to create the United Aircraft and Transport Corporation.
1933 United started to operate the Boeing 247 a full metal aircraft.
1934 United Aircraft and Transport Corporation separated into united aircraft.
August 19th 1974 at the Los Angeles International airport United Boing 727-200 enters the Stars and Bars Friend Ship livery.
1954 United Airlines becomes the first to obtain up-to-date flight simulators.

Created in Bosie, Idaho in 1926, the carter flew the first contract flight in the U.S which was air mail on April 6, 1926, marking this date the first scheduled airline service in the country’s history. In 1927 William Boeing started his own airline, the Boeing Air Transport to operate the Chicago to San Francisco air mail route they also began to buy other airmail carriers that included Varney Airlines. In 1929 Mr. Boeing merged his company with Whitney and Pratt to create the United Aircraft and Transport Corporation. In 1933 United started to operate the Boeing 247 a full metal aircraft the first of its kind this aircraft was able to fly transcontinental flights for 20 hours, making it more useful than its predecessors. After the passage of the air mail act in 1934 United Aircraft and Transport Corporation separated into united aircraft. United Airlines goes back when Varney airlines was also air mail service own by Walter Varney. Walter Created United Airlines to carry airmail from Pasco, Washington to Nevada. This was the birth of American Commercial flights. In latter stages of the company, United Airlines added passengers on their commercial flights. With passengers on board flights, accommodating the passengers was needed. United airlines hired nurses as flight attendants. This established United Airlines as one of the first commercial passenger airlines in the world. United Airlines was one of the first aviation companies to offer their employee’s the employee stock ownership plan.
