Question 1 In the story, Hera the universal theme is don't cheat on your wife. I know this because in the story when Hera finds out that Zeus was dating Io and makes her a cow forever. I know this because in the story it says, “Hera was not deceived , but she pretended not to suspect nothing and begged Zeus to let her have the dainty cow.” This shows that Hera made sure that Zeus didn't turn Io back into a human. This is a universal theme because nobody should cheat on their wife.
In the story, Prometheus the universal theme is don't steal from people. In the story Prometheus steals fire from Zeus and is punished very severely for it. I know this because on pg.72 it says, “Not only had Prometheus stolen the sacred fire and given it to men, …show more content…

The mystery the story answered was how seasons came to Earth. Persephone gets kidnapped by Hades and Demeter gets very upset. She stops everything from growing for a while. This is winter. When winter comes everything dies and no flowers grow.

In the story it says, “And from her rich ground grew an abundance of trees and flowers, and out of crevices, spirits, beasts, and early man crept forth.”
Question 3 In the story, Athena it shows the characteristics of a myth because it tells how spiders came to Earth. It also shows that Athena has supernatural powers when Athena turns Arachne into a spider. It shows human flaws on pg. 36 where it says,“Stupidly she boasted that she learned nothing from the goddess; indeed that she was better than the goddess!”
In the story Cronos it shows characteristics of a myth by having god and goddesses. It shows that gods have supernatural powers when Cronos was able to swallow his children whole. It shows human flaws where it states, “And early man worshiped him.” It was a flaw to worship Cronos.
Lastly, in the story, Artemis it shows characteristics of a myth by having gods and goddesses. It shows that the gods have supernatural on pg.44 where it says, “Actaeon changed into a stag.” Artemis was able to turn a person into a stag. It shows human flaws when Actaeon looks at Artemis while she and her maidens are bathing.
