I plan to contribute as an active participant within the Living Learning program by attending study groups and help other with my finding/ recommendations. As a Regents’ scholar, I plan to exhibit the values and friendliness of a great community member. I will be actively involved in events and programs geared towards the community goal. I expect to interact with my fellow students daily, and bring the attitude and character of what Texas A&M stands for. I will participate in as many events as my schedule will allow to create a better sense of community and maybe find a life long friend.
As a prospective member of the Masters of Arts in History program at Liberty University I hope to accomplish several things. I am currently serving as a high school history teacher and this program will benefit both my students and myself alike in the foreseeable future. This includes reaching the goals of earning my master’s degree which will result in a higher level of professional knowledge in my content area, while increasing my income simultaneously. This is not the only positive factor, Liberty’s program will also contribute directly to growth in regards to my relationship with Jesus Christ.
I see myself being an engaged member of the WCU and Brinson Honors College community by being involved in community service opportunities, becoming a member of leadership organizations, and taking advantage of opportunities to study and serve in a different country or to participate in undergraduate studies. I plan to be engaged in the WCU community by being involved in all that I can be involved in. Specifically, I hope to become involved in at least one of the faith-based groups on campus, such as the Baptist Student Fellowship at WCU or the Campus Crusade for Christ. Becoming involved in faith-based organizations is important to me and will allow me to love God and love people better by learning more about God and participating in service projects that will share his love and truth. Additionally, I want to join a local Church family, where I hope to serve in various aspects of the Church, especially those that involve children, something that I am passionate about.
I am interested in Howard University because it is an HBCU that encompass the themes of cultural diversity and education. Your commitment to scholars ensures me that at your school I will be right at home. Since I intend on on going down a medical path, I know that Howard University will provide me with best resources to follow my dreams. As a child I was always interested in the worlds around me and how things worked. As a result I participated in a Summer Enrichment Program located at Indiana University in Bloomington.
As I think of the University of Mississippi, the aspect that most impresses me, and is an addition to my desire to immerse myself in this prominent learning community is the University's outstanding resources. I am very attracted to the opportunity to explore and learn at the University of Mississippi's science departments. Science has been my academic passion ever since I entered middle school. Since then, I have always wanted to get into the medical field to become a neurologist. I believe the brain is a black box with endless mysteries waiting to be explored.
I come from a lower, middle class family. Both of my parents are employed full time but do not make enough income to supply the $20,000 it takes to attend Missouri State. They have always encouraged me to want more for myself, both in my career and in my life in general. Although I am still deciding on a major, I know that I want to make enough money to live comfortably and be able to provide for my family.
I have chosen to apply to Covenant College because I seek a deeper relationship with the Lord that transcends into every area of my life, and I believe that I can facilitate that growth with the Christ-centered curriculum and community Covenant has to offer. I see the importance of being a witness to Christ at a secular university, but during my college education I want to better equip myself to proclaiming Christ in my profession and day-to-day living. Throughout the next formative years of my life, it is important to me to surround myself with young people who serve the Lord. Encouraged by conversations with my admissions counselor and information on the website, I believe I will easily mesh into the dynamic that exists at Covenant and cultivate lasting relationships. In addition, I tremendously value access to nature.
My application to Arizona State’s Media, Arts and Sciences program reflects my interest in gaining a deeper understanding of media within an experiential system while integrating my study with the work of Professors Allenby and Sarewitz in the Sustainabilities Program. In consulting with Professor Allenby, I am confident his recommendation that I work toward the degree for which I will seek post-doctoral employment is the appropriate direction. As an artist and professional in digital media, film, writing, teaching, photography, and theater, I am astute to the symbiosis between art and science and naturally seek unifying themes in disparate disciplines. I am also a CompTia Certified Technical Trainer and have achieved expert status in Adobe After Effects. These life experiences allow me to work natively within a transdisciplinary environment.
All along, I have managed to maintain the principles of ethics and integrity, a strong sense of purpose, and morality, which binds me rigidly. Appointment as student leader in all stages of my school and college life has presented me with opportunity to interact with people, develop organizational and communication skills. My involvement with speech, debate and sports has made me more than just an academic person In the pursuit of excellence and with a passion to reach the highest skills in my discipline, I look upon University of Texas, Arlington a springboard to accomplish my dreams. This esteemed institution can serve as a ladder and enable me to achieve higher aims by providing me the most contemporary input and exposure.
In my first year at Texas Tech I was put on the frontier of scientific knowledge in order to contribute to humanity’s understanding of the universe. Since the ancient egyptians, research in science and mathematics has allowed humans to go from cave dwelling hunters to the first living organism to arrive on the moon’s surface. Due to my performance in my physics class, my professor has given me the opportunity to take the first step in my journey of becoming a theoretical physicist. That being starting research in solid-state physics. Research is incredibly important to every single person on this planet whether they are aware of it or not.
Personal Statement The University of North Texas (UNT) Dallas College of Law's location, in the heart of Dallas, and its accessibility from Waxahachie is a major draw for my selection of this specific school. In addition, I’m drawn to the diverse student population that the school targets in their recruitment efforts and the innovative manner in which the school aims to educate its students through hands-on education and not just lectures. My desire upon graduating from Law School is to return to Ellis County, where I spent my youth, to continue the law practice, with my parents, for the goal of marrying my law services with my drive and passion for giving back to the community. By continuing to provide affordable legal services to the residents
I have chosen Honours Arts & Business at Waterloo because it offers a unique approach. One of my major goals going into this program is to gain a broader perspective and open up opportunities for myself within the arts and business community. The co-op option is also another reason why I choose this program as it provides me with real-world experience that will help me further my career.
A concise statement via Mr. Churchill. It goes to demonstrate how significant it is for any future or former architecture student to comprehend and incorporate the concept of designing for the individual or the masses. In order for us to accomplish and reach this imaginative sophistication, it necessitates having a good educational foundation. Design Futures Council seeks to identify architecture and design schools in the United States by conducting an extensive survey. Since ancient times of man, architects have taken on a crucial role in the development of human history and still continue to do so. Every structure on this planet has a story to tell and a designer behind it, which is why i have taken an interest in becoming an architect. After comparing The University of Texas Austin, The University of Houston, and The University of Washington based on my criteria of tuition, major and area, The University of Texas Austin would be the best choice in helping me pursue a career in architecture. After all, UT’s architecture program is ranked the 9th best school of architecture in the country, and teaches various fields of architecture from preservation to urban planning. Architects are in charge of a building overall design, and ensure that every task at hand runs smoothly
It is such a realization that has motivated me to conclude that contributing to the professional evolution of architecture will provide me with a feeling of fulfillment and provide me with a meaningful
