This year, I aspire to become ISRMUN’s next Secretary-General. My MUN experience started relatively a year ago. UNVA, as my first simulation, is where I initially discovered my passion for Model United Nations. I was captivated by the intricacies and complexities of proposing effective solutions. MUN exposed me to a whole spectrum of potential solutions to resolve our world’s most compelling problems. Solutions that needed positive, efficient leaders to be fulfilled. This past year I attended eight simulations; debating on topics that expanded my views of the world and its current issues. Despite my award-winning participation, I believe that what I learned from MUN is much superior than my trophies. It has taught me to become a confident leader, how to successfully debate, and effectively interact with numerous delegates. Leadership has always been one of my strong characteristics. I consider myself an interactive leader and invariably show extraordinary dedication. My leadership style involves working and learning together with my team to achieve the best results possible; a characteristic I enforced in MUN simulations. When in team-work based projects, my peers regularly pick me as the team leader, believing I have the skills, guidance and knowledge to direct our team. I have also been told I am a quick and efficient problem solver, overcoming any obstacle that prevents success. In my weekly french course, my classmates nominated and voted for me to win class representative. I administer money to organize bimestral parties, as well as managing group projects.
