1) A brief description of the organization you selected and the decision this organization made The organization that I selected for this week's discussion have an urban store located in Atlanta, Georgia which product offerings include hats, clothing, and shoes. The store is well known and his loyal customers that has done repeat business throughout the years. In addition, the store has been music videos, and mentioned in numerous artist recordings. This form of marketing helped the store prosper and become known in several surrounding states as well. It generated an increase in sales (throughput) and decreased the inventory due to high demand for product offerings. Consequently, the success of the store introduced fierce competition into the market, and some even used the same marketing strategies to generate money. After awhile the profits started to decrease and the inventory levels increased, due to the store being slow. Management at the store something had to be been to remedy this situation, before the store owner closed the store. They figured, if we placed our product offerings at a lower price then sales will increase. Furthermore, management decided to use employee for extensive marketing efforts which much of the work staff didn't like to do.
