The United States Constitution has been around for well over two hundred years. It is regarded by many as a remarkable document that has withheld the test of time. The Constitution has even lasted longer than what the original founding fathers thought it would last. Many years have passed since the Constitution was first written, which means that some parts of it are outdated. In the United States Constitution, there should be changes in the qualifications and powers of each branch of government because it will allow for more qualified officials to take office and give them the necessary power to run the country. These appointments are commonly known as “recess appointments.” This is something that should be removed or changed in the United States Constitution because it allows the president to put anyone they want in a government position without the Senate's approval. For example, Section 2 Clause 3 allows the president to appoint individuals such as a friend, celebrity, family member, etc, into a government position when the Senate is not in session. For instance, by keeping this part of the Constitution, it allows current President Donald Trump to appoint any of his family members or business partners into a position of government as long as the Senate is not in session. The best way to prevent something like that from happening in the future is to remove or change this part of the Constitution. Removing Section 2, Clause 3 from the United States Constitution could avoid and prevent the issue of the president placing the wrong individuals into a government position that the Senate never had the chance to approve. If the Senate has to approve of the president’s choices for their Presidential Cabinet as mentioned in Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the Constitution, one way Clause 3 can be changed is if the Senate has to give its approval to the other members that the president appoints to a government
