US defeated Japan in a naval battle regaining superiority. For two years the US fought hard battles against the Japanese, Japanese had a really successful offense. The last and fourth reason was that the US wanted to scare the Soviets in the post-war diplomacy. During the Second World War, there were many important conferences and treaty that many nations had.
