Effects of Using Drugs to Help Increase the Attention Span of a Child The purpose of this paper is to explain the effects of using drugs to improve and increase the attention span of a child. There remains a numerous deal of controversy on this topic which has brought it to my attention. Some people believe that it stands exceptionally unethical to allow children to consume drugs just so they can focus. Although others believe that there is nothing wrong with giving children the prescription attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) prescription to improve and better help the child’s focus on topics. They believe that children are extremely easily distracted, which can hinder a child's learning, education, knowledge and understanding of many topics. It is especially worse when a child is diagnosed with ADHD, they will not focus or pay attention to things very well. This can unconsciously affect the subjects and the scientists. Additionally, there is the expectancy bias which shows when the observer is influenced by the subject based on what they say and act.
