People say nothing is perfect for a reason. I believe Utopian Societies can not exist in the modern world today. There are some studies that try to figure if a Utopian Society would work, the study came out as negative The first reason is: Most of the people secretly do not like the rules “I think i'd like to be a birth mother” Lily said..“Three years” Mother told her firmly. “ Three lazy years”. (The Giver page 21) Jonas’s mother does not agree with the rules of a birth mother's work schedule and does not want Lily to be a birth mother. The last reason is, All the rules have a road block as to something to do with confusion or not enough of “ I have caused you anxiety”. She said. “ I apologize”.
