Introduction: Respect. What does it mean and who deserves your respect? Respect is generally considered a positive feeling or an action shown towards someone or something considered important. It is a sense of admiration for good or valuable qualities. It is also the process of honoring someone by exhibiting consideration for their needs or feelings. It all started with the actress Alyssa Milano that encouraged women in 2017 to speak up about sexual harassments. She told them to use the hashtag #metoo on social media to enlighten everyone about the big problem with female oppression. Twitter confirmed to CBS news that over 1.7 million tweets included the hashtag metoo, and this is just twitter. I feel for the women who have blamed themselves for years for the action of a man and the oppression of society that before, so often blamed women for being raped or sexually abused.
