I say this to you because it is all of this country 's veterans that make this country great, and this country would be a total disaster without you. I also want to say this because you chose to defend this country and without you there would be no army and no military, so I thank you veterans
A lot of times real heroes and role models go unknown. We focus ourselves on celebrities and people who really do nothing more but their job of acting or singing; some bringing bad influences. Real heroes are the ones who put their life on the line for the people they love, the country they love. People that in no way expected their lives to take a sharp turn and getting a little taste of hell while at the same time being praised although not by many. At a young age being in trouble with the cops no one would think such a kid would end up being a true American hero.
A veteran is someone who has served a long time in the military, no matter what their age. Veterans are important to our freedom because while serving their time, you have to remember that they are fighting for your right to be free in the United States. Without them, there wouldn’t be any freedom in this world. They fight for what they believe in and what is right for the country. You have to remember, these war vets are putting their lives on the line for people they don’t even know.
There are a lot of important reasons why we should honor our veterans. One of the biggest reasons we should honor our veterans is because they risked their lives to protect ours. In some of the scariest, if not the scariest, situations in the world, thousands of soldiers bravely fought for our freedom. Even though they knew the risks, they still decided to go into the military. To this day, many veterans still face side effects of war.
In conclusion, we should always remember those who fought and are still fighting for us not just one time a year but everyday. We should be thankful for a veteran, because we have freedom to do the things we love where some countries do not get that privilege. We can hunt , fish, play basketball and see our friends and family. Some countries don’t get the freedom that we do.
To me veteran is a person who risked their life so I could live in a better country. Throughout America’s history, we have depended on our soldiers to keep us safe and fight for our country while at the same time fighting for their families and their lives. Without veterans we couldn't enjoy the little things that we do now, we wouldn't be free. They fought for the people who couldn't fight for themselves. I believe that the soldiers who stood on the front lines to fight in wars are very brave.
Ninety-eight years ago, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, an armistice was declared between Germany and the Allied Nations in World War I. One year later, it was celebrated as Armistice Day to honor the cause of world peace. After World War II and the Korean War, it was renamed Veterans Day, dedicated to American veterans from any war. The transition from Armistice Day to Veterans Day seems appropriate, for we would not have peace if we did not have veterans. But the implication that veterans are mere preservers of order is a vast misrepresentation; they do much more for our nation.
Veterans and our soldiers are coming home from war or getting out of the military and when they get home they can’t afford rent or they have a mental disease from war. Homeless veterans tend to experience homelessness longer than non-veteran homeless. This should not be happening to our soldiers. This is very undesirable for our troops to come home and becoming homeless. They fight for our freedom and our rights and we repay them by becoming homeless.
The US has grappled with many questions about society’s obligations as to whether or not to offer services and benefits to the men and women in the armed forces. Supporters argue that helping veterans will help the society as whole and opponents argue that we shouldn’t be increasing our federal government spending in repaying veterans. Although I do see where people can argue that we are spending too much money on helping veterans after war, I believe that the government owes them for what they have done for the country, despite the cost. The government owes certain benefits to veterans because the men and women in the armed forces deserve to be welcomed home with a generous system of services for what they have done for the country. Helping veterans goes way back all the way to the 1600s.
We don 't typically stop to think about our freedom, it is something most of us are guilty of taking for granted. Even when our freedom is brought to our attention, it is only a brief thought quickly pushed to the back of our minds. Most of us are too focused on our own hardships and shortcomings. However, there are a select few who have come to the realization that this freedom is a highly valued prize. These are the people that fight our battles for us because they value the safe haven that our country is.
In the United States, serving in the military is seen as a model of true patriotism, and rightfully so. Service members train for 10 weeks in their transition from civilian to a soldier. They train to be able to endure all the hardships that may come their way. Service members have to be in the best physical shape to serve and because of all that they do, they are thought of as brave and selfless people. Service members make extreme sacrifices to defend our country and act selflessly by doing so; it is fitting that they are seen as heroes by many Americans.
In my opinion, veterans do receive the care they need, but are not provided equal amount of care. Hopefully, with Donald Trump supporting the veterans, during his presidency he will be capable of providing the veterans more support and equality to benefit the veterans needs as well as their
In the United States thousands of veterans are not able to leave behind the horrors and traumatic events they experience while at war. They bring the war home and have to re-experience it in their minds each and every day, no matter how much time has passed since their last battle or traumatic
I just want to thank our veterans for everything that they have done. In this essay I am going to write about what I am grateful for, how hard it is to be away from your family, the sacrifices that I think they have made, what they are doing for our country, and some facts.
