Victors subject was not a human Where do we draw the line on things being human beings or not? The book Frankenstein by Mary Shelley is about a forsaken man named Victor who created a monster out of dead body parts. Victor's creation was made out of dead body parts because his mission was to bring back his mother from the dead so he made a creature before as a test subject that came to life and ruined victors life. Victor's creature shall not be considered human because he is made of dead body parts. Some may say that to be a human one must have the ability to have feelings. In the book, the monster clearly shows feelings many times. One piece of evidence is on page 108, the picture shows the son of the grandpa thinking that the creature is attacking the grandpa. The outcome of this isn't very good because the man attacks the monster and the beast gets very scared and runs away. (Grimly 104) After he ran away the monster started to realize that he was seen by others as a disgusting creature. This means that the monster does have feelings. On page 42 the picture shows the monster awakening (Grimly 42). It shows the monster not going through a childhood of any sort. This shows that the monster didn't grow up. Victor awakened him one day and his main instinct was to attack. On page 102 it shows that the monster started talking (Grimly 102). Showing how little time it took to start talking. Usually, it would take a human being around a year to start saying their first words. This being said he has a very advanced mind that can pick up the material very quickly. To conclude, this goes to show that he is not human because he did not experience the things that human beings would go through going
