In regards to the perspective you have chosen to use in evaluating the link between video games and aggressive behavior, one can certainly see the strengths it holds. In the Psychodynamic perspective, the focus remains on influential struggles of the unconscious and the results expressed through behavioral activity (Nevid, 2015, p. 9). Thus, this theory reflects upon that which is taught in childhood and how it affects ones actions, even if memories have been suppressed (Nevid, 2015, p. 8). In part, we can see that from a biblical standpoint, what we are taught in our youth, remains with us always. Reflecting on scriptural reference, we find a flaw within this theory, the thought of a being having little free will. As is said in James 4:7, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (KJV).” These words do not convey a message that perceives one to lack control of their lives outcome, but instead they show we have a choice in which direction we go. Moreover, it would seem that theory reflects on the deep rooted issues of the inner life, in conjunction with passing blame onto the childhood past (Nevid, 2015, p. 9). Thus, one could be seen as neglecting the words of God, and forsaking the call in Galatians 6:5 to “bear his own burden
