Despite and many other mishaps, Vietnam is a very beautiful place full of amazing geographical features, cities, food, and much much more. Vietnam’s history is very rich and full of many happenings. I was created separately and then united as one after along costly war. Vietnam war was the long and costly war that helped shaped up this country. Religion is also a key factor in creating a country.

Vietnam or also known as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is the easternmost country on the in southeast Asia. With a population of 94.6 million people in 2016 is the world's 14th most populous country in the world. Vietnam’s Capital city is called Hanoi and is the most populated city.Vietnam was founded by a man named Hung Vuong in 2879 B.C.

This war was made worse from the cold war that was still going on between the United States and the Soviet Union. Opposition to the war the United States bitterly divided Americans, even after President Richard Nixon ordered the withdrawal of U.S. forces in 1973. Communist forces ended the war by seizing control of South Vietnam in 1975, and the country was unified as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam the following year.There has been many wars that Vietnam has been somehow involved in but the most major one is the Vietnam War. This war spanned from 1959-1963, it killed approximately 250,000 Vietnamese soldiers and about 2 million civilians on both sides. The New York Times says that, Vietnam changed the way we looked at politics. We became inured to our leaders lying in the war: the fabricated Gulf of Tonkin incident, the number of “pacified provinces” (and what did “pacified” mean, anyway?), the inflated body counts. People talked about Johnson’s “credibility gap.” This was a genteel way of saying that the president was lying. Then, however, a credibility gap was considered unusual and bad.
