ABSTACT
Vincent van Gogh was an iconic artist, whose art is around emotional and spiritual state. One of the most popular artists of all time, who only sold one painting during his lifetime, this painting shows the sense of artists viewed in each scene, interpretive through his eyes, mind and heart. Van Gogh expressed his personal touch in his every painting. Throughout the twentieth century his style of painting continues affecting the artist and movements symbolically. Gogh never thinks of fame, he just paint for his satisfaction and expressed his quirky views. He was self-taught artist, who went on to change the face of earlier impressionism forever. Born in Netherland on 30th march 1853, the painter not only paints but also symptomatic his art through his unmistakable brushwork, for whom colours was the medium of proclamation. The works of his early Dutch period are mournful-tone, strongly lit. He always said – “for my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream”. Today, Gogh is considered the mark able Dutch painter. 860 oil paintings and more than 1300 water colour, drawings, and sketches, he completed more than 2100 works. His “portrait of Dr. Gatchet” sold for $82.5 million, many of his paintings are the most expensive in the world, “Irises” was also sold for record $53.9 million. When Vincent van Gogh was in Paris he first time saw the impressionist art, he was hugely inspired by the light and colour. Van’s art helped him to stay calm and balanced him emotionally. On 17th march 1901, van’s 71 paintings were displayed at a show in Paris, and his passion about art subsequently grew enormously. His most of artwork was released after his death. “Sunset at Montmajou” his landscape painting was entitled and unveiled by van museum in Amsterdam in September 2013.
